Is Noorani Qaida best or Qaiday Bismillah?
There are several types of Qaida available in the market. However, there are two common Qaida.
Noorani Qaida and Qaida Bismillah.
And there are two types of teaching systems in these two Qaida. I will discuss which system
will be best for children.
Noorani Qaida begins with introduction to the 29 Arabic letters, then introduces the beginning, middle, and end of the 29 letters. After these few steps the introduction phase of Harkat and Sukun begins.
Qaida Bismillah is usually introduced with the Harakat in the first chapter. The subject is like a phonics, Those who know about phonics can easily understand.
Abu Tahir Mesbah said in the book Qaida Bismillah, we first acquire the identity of the letters in the Qaida that is in front
of us, such as Jeem, Dal, Swad etc.
But in the Quran, we pronounce Ja, Ji, Ju, Ma, Mi, Mu, etc.
This difference in letter identity and pronunciation
is quite confusing for a young child. Then begins the patiently long process of adding the 29 letters to the beginning, end,
and middle. A few more lessons are passed and then the pronunciation
of letters with Harkat and Sukun begins.
On the other hand, we think that if you start the character introduction phase with harakat,
the matter becomes much
easier and you can go a long way in a short time. Dear reader,
this is not a mere theory but by the grace of Allah it is now a practical fact. Think about the welfare and benefits of the matter yourself. Before going to the difficult part of connecting the letter to the letter, we have shown
the Arabic letter only the
actual usage without the name and identity of the Arabic letter through familiar Bengali words. As a result, the matter has become easy as well as quite enjoyable for the
child. It can be said that the child’s identity is formed with the pronunciation and use of Harkat and Sukun almost without any effort.
Basically, Qaida Bismillah is written for the children. So that children can easily understand it and enjoy it.
Hazrat Maulana Abrarul
Haque Saheb wrote in his Noorani Qaida:
“Reading should not be
a burden on the child’s brain, rather interest and attraction towards reading should be created”
